in the background a paper on which it is printed a poem written by christian morgenstern. it is titled "korf in berlin" and is published in the edition called humoristic lyric (humoristische lyrik): "korf in berlin (korf in berlin) korf - man kennt ihn wohl genügend - (korf - we know him suffisiant) korf begibt sich nach berlin, (korf is moving to berlin) einem zug der zeit sich fügend. (going along with the train of time) in berlin empfängt man ihn ... (in berlin he is wellcomed...) zwar erblickt man ihn nicht leiblich, (we can not see him physicly,) denn, wie ja schon dargeziehn, (because how already mentioned) ist er weder männ- noch weiblich, (he is neither male nor female) sondern schlechterdings ein geist, dessen nichtsehen unausbleiblich." (but virtually a ghost, whose non-seeing unavoidable). the poem refers maybe to the life and the personality of karl waldmann. in the foreground a collage of different papers (transparent, rose, black, beige, yellow). |
