Pascal Polar is licentiate in Physics and Philosophy.
He worked 7 years in the team of Professor Ilya Prigogine, Nobel Prize of chemistry in 1977 and a man who revolutionized a part of contemporary physics.
Pascal Polar wrote a book on the design of the irreversibility of the time of the Boltzman physicist.
He kept in art this spirit and this rigour learned in science and also the taste from critical research. But the World of Science is quite different from that of Art : it reigns there an intellectual honesty and few high level physicists are allowed to intervene with coarse opinions in a field which they do not control in-depth.
In art, one would say that today all is allowed and that the discussions of living rooms, fashion, or the reference to an art dealer or a curator, supposedly specialized in a field or who is a little more "trendy" that another, is a value of absolute truth.
While forming integral part of the market of current art and very credit in this one, Pascal Polar holds with his independence criticizes and carries out a very personal course. He opens his gallery in 1985 in Brussels and present since, exposures directed on actual art and also, from time to time, on the XXth century masters.
He takes part in several large international fairs and is member of the belgian "Professional Union of Dealers in Modern and Contemporary Art" (BUP).
