en fond, on distingue un poème de maïakovski et une sculpture recouverte d'un drap. le poème s'intitule "К ответу" et a été écrit quelques mois après la révolution de février en 1917. dans ce pamphlet, maïakovski déplore que la révolution n'a pas pu délivrer les peuples de la guerre impérialiste, que le sang continue à couler et se demande pourquoi sacrifier sa vie. dans les dernières lignes du vers, il appelle les initiateurs de la guerre à répondre à la question : "pourquoi nous faisons la guerre?" l'oeuvre est faite sur la couverture d'un cahier. elle est couplée avec l'oeuvre 558. au dos de l'oeuvre est inscrit "why i fight in the war"

in the background, a poem by mayakovsky and a sculpture covered with a sheet. the poem, named "К ответу", was written in the months following the 1917 february revolution. in this pamphlet, mayakovsky is sorry that the revolution didn't delivered the peoples form imperialist war, that the blood continues to flow and asks why to make the sacrifice of life. in the last verses, he asks the initiators of the war to answer to the auestion "why are we making war ?" the work is made on the cover of a notebook. it is coupled with work 558. on the backside, you can read "why i fight in the war"
