cover of the « berliner illustrierte zeitung » with a blond man on it, whose mouth has been replaced by a piece of a newspaper « so oder so ». a furnace tower is stuck on his face, like the nose of pinocchio, and serves as a barrier to a competition horse. but as it is loaded with an iron bar and the horse rider, the horse will not be able to jump over the barrier. the horse rider is busy doing some exercise; his body is surrounded by saw blades as if he was cutting into the iron bar. the “berliner illustrirte zeitung” was only written with an “e” in “illustrierte” during the nazi era. in view of the spelling of the word on this collage („illustrierte“), it must date back from 1939-1945.

couverture du "berliner illustrierte zeitung" avec la tête d'un homme blond, la bouche remplacée par un bout de journal disant "so oder so". une tour de haut fourneau lui est collé dans le visage comme un nez de pinocchio, et sert en même temps comme barreau pour un cheval de compétition. mais, chargé d'une barre en fer et de son cavalier, ce cheval ne sera pas capable de sauter le barreau. le cavalier est, de toute façon, occupé à faire de la gymnastique. son corps est entouré de parties de lames de scie, comme s'il coupait dans la barre en fer. le berliner illustrirte zeitung ne s'écrivait avec "e" dans "illustri-e-rte" que pendant la période nazi. vu l'orthographe du nom du journal dans ce collage ("illustrierte") la couverture doit dater de entre 1939(?) et 1945.
