| a red circle and a black frame there is a naked man with picks sticking out of his body. in the middle, a woman with a huge head which is partly covered with metal. the word "syphilis" refers to a poem of mayakovsky illustred by rodtchenko, named "syphilis". written in 1926, it denounces black slavery, refers to the damages syphilisys caused amongst black people and accuses white people of the transmission of this disease. |

| un cercle rouge et un cadre noir en bas, un homme nu, des pics semblent sortir de son corps au milieu, une femme à la tête énorme couverte de métal. le mot "syphilis" est en rapport avec un poème de maïakovski, intitulé "syphilis", dont le livre est illustré par rodtchenko. le poème, écrit en 1926, dénonce la traite des esclaves noirs. il parle du fléau de la syphilis qui fait des ravages parmi les noirs et accuse les blancs de la transmission de cette maladie. |
